How to use it
Tip percentage and bill split estimates
This tip calculator multiplies the bill amount by the tip percentage, adds the tip to the bill, and then divides the total by the number of people you enter.
For example, a $100 bill with a 20% tip adds $20, making the total $120. If two people split it evenly, each person pays $60 before any separate arrangements.
Some restaurants calculate tip before tax and some people tip on the full amount. This calculator uses the bill amount you enter, so enter the number you prefer to tip from.

How the tip and split are calculated
Tip amount = bill amount x tip percentage
Total = bill amount + tip amount
Each person pays = total / number of people
The split assumes everyone pays the same amount. If one person ordered more or less, use the result as a starting point and adjust the split manually.

Does this include tax?
